How to check monitor refresh rate
Estimate your display’s refresh rate in the browser and understand the caveats.
Steps
- Open the Refresh Rate Test and keep the tab in the foreground.
- Press Start and wait for the sample to complete.
- Read the observed refresh and the confidence label.
Why it may fluctuate
Browsers cap frame delivery to the display refresh, and variable refresh rate (VRR) or power-saving can shift the estimate. That’s why we show a confidence level and avoid false precision.
